The Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts

RSU has renamed its campus art gallery to The Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts to honor longtime art faculty member Gary Moeller. The Gallery is located in Baird Hall on the RSU Claremore Campus. Faculty and student artworks, high school competitions and art from outside the university is shown throughout the year in this beautiful facility.

Over the last few years, a cooperative agreement has existed with two important area galleries. They have generously agreed to show the work of RSU students and/or faculty at their convenience.

  • Wolf Productions, A Gallery of the Arts, in Claremore: Wolf Productions continues exhibit works by faculty, students and recent graduates.
  • Price Tower in Bartlesville: The Price Tower has shown RSU faculty pieces at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright structure and continues to provide external learning opportunities to our students.

Graphics Lab

To create the unforgettable inhabitants of Middle Earth, the masterminds behind the film trilogy Lord of the Rings employed Maya, the same 3-D software utilized by students in the RSU Graphics Lab.

In this state-of-the-art Macintosh computer lab, students also learn to master the latest versions of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive, Acrobat as well as Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand, and more.

Sculpture Lab

The Three-Dimensional Art Laboratory at RSU is one of the few university art studios in Oklahoma to merge the study of sculpture and ceramics into a single state-of-the-art facility. The combination of the two disciplines falls in line with the RSU focus on multidisciplinary education, or integrating different subjects into a more holistic method of instruction.

The 3,150-square-foot lab features a large multipurpose room for sculpture and ceramics instruction and creation, a room for woodworking and the creation of plaster molds, a computer room, welding room, 25 student lockers, a large bay for receiving deliveries and removing large projects, and storage space for raw materials and projects in various stages of development.
